About the Role
Applications are being accepted for a vehicle mechanic I or II for the Crittenden County Schools Bus Garage for the
2026-27 school year. This is a full-time positon with 8 hours a day on a 240-day per year contract. Starting pay begins
at $17.73 or $19.79, based on experience and qualifications. JOB FUNCTION Perform mechanical repair work on school
buses, trucks and other gas and diesel powered automotive equipment; perform body repairs, gas or diesel engine
overhauls, transmission overhauls and electrical systems repairs as needed. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Disassemble
motors and repair, adjust and replace parts; recondition and adjust ignition and carburetor systems; tune engines
