About the Role

Standard horticultural and grounds keeping practices; the use and maintenance of grounds keeping tools and equipment.

Performs a variety of grounds maintenance and gardening duties and assists in related various construction and

landscaping projects. Responsibilities At the direction of the Director of Physical Plant, maintains and cares for

campus grounds. Maintains and cares for the mowing of University grounds with hand and power mowers, edging and weed

eating, weeding beds, pruning trees and trimming hedges to promote growth and improve appearance. May apply fertilizers

and weed control chemicals as directed by Director of Physical Plant. Connects sprinkling equipment and waters lawns,
