About the Role
Transportation Worker 4 Welder The Transportation Worker 4 Welder will report to the Equipment Division in Upshur
County. The incumbent works as a professional welder within the construction and maintenance of highways and the Bridge
Department. Performs advanced-level, specialized, skilled work in the construction and maintenance of highways and
bridges. The selected applicant will be responsible for mentoring lower-level employees. As an advanced-level welder,
they will be fabricating steel using metal arc welding equipment, welding metal rebar or piling together to strengthen
concrete forms or extend pilings in the construction of new bridges, along with cutting and grinding structural steel.
