About the Role
Hancock County School District Department of Transportation Mechanic Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent,
or Vocational Trade School in Auto Diesel Mechanics Valid Mississippi Class B Commercial Driver License with "P" and "S"
endorsements (can be obtained within 180 days of employment) Knowledge and experience to perform gas and diesel engine
tune‐ups; Must be able to communicate effectively with school bus drivers ASE Certification is encouraged Must be able
to use desktop computer, laptop computer, and/or smart phone for mechanical diagnostics, mechanical research, record
keeping and job assignments Mechanic Duties & Responsibilities Perform major and minor motor repairs and replacement
