About the Role
Mechanic Shop Assistant The Shop Assistant supports the transportation department by assisting mechanics, driving school
buses as needed, and maintaining the facility and grounds. This role requires flexibility, effective communication, and
the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Shop Assistant must adhere to all safety and school
board policies, contributing to the smooth operation of transportation services for the school district. Reports To:
Director of Transportation Classification: Full-Time (Classified) FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Work Term: 240 Days
Compensation: MCBOE Salary Schedule Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Class B CDL License with P and S
