About the Role
Job Description Welder III: Performs a combination of Gas tungsten arc welding, GTAW and/or TIG welding on aircraft
parts. Processes to fabricate or repair parts and assemblies to required tolerances using welding metals and metal
alloys. (TIG welding experience is required) Responsibilities Determines and installs applicable welding materials based
upon parent metal properties Strikes (forms) arc to melt line, maintaining length of arc and speed of movement to form
specified depth of fusion and bead, as judged from color of metal, sound of weld and size of molten puddle Performs
minor repair operations, including helicoil installation, flushing, grit blasting, vapor degreasing, repairs broken or
