Shift Dispatcher

About the Role

Job Summary: The Dispatcher schedules drivers, assigns routes and resources such as vehicles and equipment, to

efficiently manage traffic in operations. This position is responsible for internal and external customer

communications, TMW entry and audit functions. Essential Job Functions: Schedules drivers for pick-up and delivery;

selects most efficient routes for each driver Anticipates weather complications along routes and at the drivers

destinations; communicates delays and route changes as necessary. Monitors drivers working hours to ensure compliance

with federal and state laws and regulations Maintains phone contact with drivers and customers Answer the phone in a
