About the Role

Job Description Purpose of Position: A Saw Operator sets up and operates a metal cutting band saw to cut metal, brass,

and aluminum workpieces according to specifications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Read and interpret

blueprints, drawings, work orders, or patterns to determine equipment set-up, procedures to be used, or specifications

of final products. • Set up and operate metal cutting band saws. • Obtain and transfer material to designated machine

areas manually, with a hoist or overhead crane. • Install saw blades and set blade tension and cutting speed for

specified operation. • Position guides, stops, holding blocks, or other fixtures to secure and direct workpieces, using
