Job Title: Highway Maintenance Worker (DOT/D4 #20136) The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) provides a

safe and efficient transportation system for the traveling public while promoting economic development and preserving

New Mexico's environment. Why does the job exist? Position will operate medium to heavy duty equipment to maintain

interstate, roads, roadways and highways for the safety of the traveling public. How does it get done? Maintaining roads

and operating medium to heavy-duty equipment including loader, blade, five and ten yard dump truck, self-propelled

broom, roller, and/or mower. The position may require herbicide, tanker and/or hazmat endorsement. Who are the
