About the Role

Location: Convent, Louisiana. Position: Material Handling Mechanic at Nucor Steel Louisiana. Basic Job Functions: The

Material Handling Mechanic performs preventive, routine, and breakdown maintenance on all equipment associated with the

safe production of direct reduced iron. This position is responsible for coordinating and completing tasks to ensure

reliable operation while developing and maintaining communication across multiple groups of plant personnel including

contractors. Major Job Duties: Perform basic welding, fabrication, and maintenance Maintenance and repair of conveyor

systems Maintenance and repair of hydraulic systems Perform computer data entry and preparation of documents Operate
