About the Role
Bus Mechanic Performs routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and complex mechanical repairs to ensure the school
bus fleet provides students, staff, and the community with safe, reliable, and compliant transportation for learning,
activities, and work. Hold and maintain a valid driver's license for the type of equipment to be driven, with no serious
violations. Demonstrate knowledge, a minimum of three years of experience, and proficiency in several areas of
maintenance (e.g., plumbing, painting, carpentry, masonry/concrete/tile, electrical, mechanical, HVAC systems, roof
repair, plastering/spackling, field/playground maintenance, furniture repair, etc.). Perform assignments relating to
