Mechanical Welder Weekend Shift

About the Role

Keel is a leader in steel fabrication, shipbuilding, aerospace, and defense manufacturing, with decades of proven

craftsmanship and real-world results. The Welder is an entry‑level role focused on learning and performing basic welding

tasks under close supervision. Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding

processes. Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine correct welding methods. Set

welding machine parameters with guidance from supervisors. Apply basic knowledge of Flux‑Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Gas

Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW). Demonstrate a basic understanding of Oxy‑Fuel Cutting,
