About the Role
Job Accountabilities To function as a welder / fitter on new assemblies and repair of steel structural and component
parts. To be member of the welding group producing expected workloads at the required skill level to output the highest
quality product set by the department. Secure job assignment and partial instruction for diverse work, complex
facilities, and conventional materials. Observe the operation of the welding machine while processing parts. Make
necessary repairs and adjustments. Use protective equipment when observing cutting operations. Lay out, tack, and weld
out weldments using hand and semi‐automatic equipment. Set voltages and amperage for various thicknesses of material.
