About the Role

Temporary Seasonal Streets Maintenance Worker The City and Borough of Sitka is hiring temporary workers to assist with

seasonal streets maintenance. These positions perform a variety of duties including, but not limited to: Setup and

removal of barricades and street signs during downtown Lincoln Street closures Removing roadside vegetation and debris

Painting parking lots, curbs and road lines Repairing and patching asphalt Assisting in traffic control flagging for

street maintenance operations Cleaning and organizing shop equipment and work areas Preferred experience includes

operation of chainsaws, wood chippers, compactors, pressure washers, and power tools. Additional desired skills include
