About the Role

About This Position This position is responsible for the maintenance of 30 Austin Public Health facilities including

various repairs (carpentry, plumbing, electrical), painting and other remodeling projects, staff and equipment moves,

furniture assembly, and vehicles operation. Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities

Act, may include the following. Inspects buildings and equipment for needed repairs and maintenance. Installs or

replaces floor and ceramic tiles. Moves furniture, file cabinets, equipment, etc. Performs service on pumps, air

handlers, cooling towers, etc. Repacks, changes oil/filters, lubricates, etc. Operates acetylene cutting torch, welder,
