About the Role
About this position: Under the supervision of the Region Construction & Maintenance Supervisor, this position serves as
a member of the Eastern Region maintenance team in the maintenance and construction of planned, preventative and
deferred maintenance projects throughout the Eastern Region. The Maintenance Mechanic 1 is responsible for coordinating
and performing new construction, renovation, remodel, repair, inspection, and maintenance of State Park buildings,
facilities, grounds, equipment, and vehicles. This position is not eligible to telework, as physical on-site presence is
required to perform essential functions. An ideal maintenance mechanic for Washington State Parks region Construction &
