Machinist Journeyman Diesel/auto Mechanic
About the Role
Machinist Journeyman Responsible for inspection, testing and maintenance of locomotives and rolling stock equipment in
accordance with FRA and Amtrak standards and guidelines. Essential functions include performing inspection, testing and
maintenance repair of locomotive diesel engines, components and running gear in accordance with 49CFR regulations and
Amtrak standards and guidelines. Responsible for mechanical repairs to drive systems, wheels/wheel sets (trucks),
suspension and other components of the propulsion system. Diagnose, test, repair of air systems, and air brake
equipment. Preventative maintenance of locomotives; move locomotives. Operates lifting/hoisting equipment; knowledge of
