About the Role
Job Responsibilities Serves as a Crew Leader in the mowing crew to maintain vegetation management guidelines on the
state highway rights-of-way. Operates tandem dump truck in hauling maintenance and construction materials to and from
job site. Maintains all necessary paperwork and enters daily work reports into the Highway Maintenance Management System
and other related paperwork. Coordinates the placement of traffic control devices to properly set up a maintenance work
zone according to the SCDOT Work Zone Traffic Control Manual and Field Guide to warn motorists. Operates a standard dump
truck with snow plow attached and salt spreader to remove snow and ice from roadways and bridges. Operates backhoe and
