About the Role

Position Overview Highway Maintenance Worker 1 / Trainee 1 / Trainee 2 (Oneida County – Permanent) Duties Individuals

selected must be able to respond to an emergency callout within 1 hour during inclement weather, including all snow and

ice conditions, in order to be considered for this position. Duties include but are not limited to: performing routine

manual tasks requiring medium to heavy physical effort, operating plows during winter operations, and obtaining the

required equipment certifications. Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to

support the department's response to regional and statewide emergency situations. Minimum Qualifications Highway
