Heavy Equipment Welders

About the Role

POSITION PURPOSE: This position lies out, fits, and welds fabricated components to assemble structural forms, such as

frames or cabinets according to job specifications. The Welder selects equipment, plans layout, assembles, and welds

while applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Assemble and weld cabinets, roof hatches, louvers, frames, tops and bottoms per job

specifications. May assemble parts by bolting and riveting. Assemble thin metal structures and large frame structures by

use of a welder. May repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting
