Heavy Equipment Mechanic

About the Role

Overview Our Rail crews operate a variety of machinery and tools off of a highway and rail-capable truck. We call it a

RailJet. As a mechanic on these crews, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing RailJet and

other field equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role is primarily focused on equipment maintenance

and troubleshooting but also requires flexibility to perform standard crew duties when mechanic workload is light. You

will work closely with field crews and operational leadership to ensure project readiness, minimize equipment downtime,
