About the Role
Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Chesapeake, VA McLean Contracting Company is looking to hire a self‐motivated, experienced
heavy equipment mechanic to join our service team in the Chesapeake, VA area. You'll work on a wide range of marine
equipment from 1400hp Tugboats to 25hp outboard motors. Qualifications Marine diesel repairs, 15+ years of
repair/rebuild experience with 53, 71, 92, or 149 Series Detroit Diesels Experience with heavy trucks, construction
equipment, cranes, dredging, hydraulics, welding, etc. Proficiency in welding aluminum and steel to marine standards.
(ARC preferably but MIG and TIG will work) Ability to read/interpret electrical schematics. Strong knowledge of marine
