About the Role

Groundskeeper The essential duties and responsibilities of the Groundskeeper, include but are not limited to: Mowing,

fertilizing, and edging all Taft grounds. Planting and pruning all Taft trees, plants and shrubs. Cleaning up debris,

such as garbage or any school waste. Leaf removal. Pesticide application. Irrigation maintenance. Operating turf

equipment in a safe manner and on a variety of terrains. Light excavation work using mechanical equipment. Removing snow

and ice using mechanical equipment and manual labor. Operating heavy equipment, such as a backhoe, loader or trucks as

needed. Preparing school grounds for all Taft events, including Grandparents' Day, Alumni Weekend, Parents' Weekend and
