DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: This work involves responsibility for maintaining grounds and outdoor recreational

areas. The work is performed under the direct supervision of a Senior Groundskeeper. During inclement weather, and

during winter months, this employee may be assigned to general cleaning and maintenance tasks. Does related work, as

required. TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: Mows lawns and trims hedges, trees, and shrubs; Hauls and spreads topsoil, gravel,

and related grounds keeping materials; Rolls, seeds, and fertilizes lawns and athletic fields; Removes paper and litter
