Equipment Maintenance Person

About the Role

The Department of Public Works is hiring individuals to perform labor, electronic, and mechanical work in the

installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic signs and parking meters. Diagnoses and corrects defects in advanced

technology parking meters and assists Painters with pavement marking operations. Operates job related computer systems

and software applications to carry out work assignments, including email, work order system, and Secure Digital Cards

for handling large volumes of data. Makes minor adjustments on site on own initiative and reports to Supervisor when

work order cannot be completed or appears to have problems. Works with hazardous materials such as paint and cleaning
