About the Role
Job Description The Ingalls First‐Class Electrician, also known as an Electrical Journeyman, is responsible for the
layout, installation, and repair of shipboard cables, lighting, and electronic equipment, as well as the ship's power
system. Electricians use a variety of hand and power tools, testing equipment, and must interpret blueprints, drawings,
and schematics. Work often involves different heights, confined spaces, various weather conditions, and multiple 24‐hour
shifts. Day or night assignments may be required depending on ship construction schedules, with strict safety procedures
