About the Role

Crane Operator The Crane Operator is responsible and accountable to the Yard Supervisor. The Crane Operator is

responsible to maintain and operate overhead crane and forklift to lift, move and position loads in a safe manner. Plan,

specify, and position rigging equipment for accomplishing work in a safe and efficient manner. Operating cranes to

offload and backload tugs, barges, and etc. Manipulate crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist

movement according to written, verbal or signal instruction. Determine load weights and check them against lifting

capacities to prevent overloading. Clean, lubricate, and maintain the crane, including mechanisms such as cables,
