About the Role
Description: The Cook is responsible for the timely preparation of 20-30 resident meals, in compliance with food service
regulations. Responsible for ensuring appetizing, high quality meals are prepared, and cleanliness standards are
followed. The part time cook works 24 hours per week, variable shifts/days, noon to 7 pm or 2p-7p. Follow recipes and
preparation directions, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients Bake, grill, steam, fry and boil meats,
vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods Garnish and arrange dishes in an appealing manner Maintain a clean and safe
work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes Handle and store ingredients and food according to health
