About the Role

Machine Shop Operator Sets up and operates machine shop equipment, to include manual Vertical Mills, Lathes, Drills,

with CNC experience. Operate ALL equipment by following all safety rules to include Personnel Protective Equipment

(PPE), machine guarding, hazard communications, etc. Studies blue prints, sketches, drawings, or specifications to

determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. Performs a

wide range of turning, facing chamfering, cutting off and similar machining operations, on a variety of castings, parts,

special orders, rework, re-machining, etc. of various materials. Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference
