About the Role
JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY: Coordinates communication and information flow between all vessels, employees, customers, company
managers, vendors and regulatory agencies in a professional and courteous manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Utilize
electronic dispatching and vessel tracking system to enter HTB/YB harbor activities and sailings. Utilizes the Young
Brothers Barge Daily Movement sheet for scheduling berthing of barges. Communicates with all tugs at sea using VHF, SSB
(single side band) and NEXTEL radio/cellular phones. Prepares Daily Dispatch Notification of vessel arrivals and
departures. Regularly inputs data using desk-top computer. Maintains log (dispatch/radio log) of all important
