About the Role

Automotive Mechanic Reports To: Mechanic Supervisor Job Goal To keep the district's trucks and buses operating so that

they present no problems or interruptions to the educational program Essential Duties And Responsibilities Operate a

variety of equipment including electronic and diagnostic tools. Freon recovery machine, tire changers, grinders, steam

cleaners, hoist, jacks, torches, welding equipment, and a variety of power and hand tools. Conduct periodic mechanical

safety inspections as instructed, test drive, and insure repairs are complete and correct. Process work orders and

maintenance records and time worked and material used on every unit. Document on each work order a detailed description
