Automotive Mechanic Journeyman

About the Role

Automotive Mechanic Performs skilled work at the journeyman level in the maintenance and repair of gasoline, diesel, and

alternative fuel powered automotive and related equipment. Work involves the performance of skilled tasks in the

mechanical repair and maintenance of automobiles, light and heavy duty trucks, motor graders, bulldozers, mowers,

tractors, and other standard and specialized equipment; Minimum Qualifications (Entrance) High School Diploma or G.Three

(3) years of full-time experience as an automotive mechanic. (EITHER: Permanent status with the City of New Orleans as

an Auto Mechanic III or higher within the automotive series. OR: Permanent statusas an Automotive Mechanic, Assistant
