About the Role
Aircraft Engine Mechanic As an Aircraft Engine Mechanic (WG-8602-10), you will maintain, troubleshoot, remove, repair,
install, certify, test and perform operational checks on the turboprop engines, propellers, and associated propulsion
system components. It also covers work involving engine accessories such as starters, generators, anti-icers, and fuel
control devices when such assignments are incidental to work on the completed engine. Works also involves the review of
engine/component records to determine cause of failure and the extent of disassembly and repair required in returning
engine and/or component to operational condition. Department of the Air Force
