About the Role
Incumbents in this class perform work involving responsibility for the skilled operation of heavy construction equipment
and performance of complex maintenance work in the Citys water distribution system. Incumbents operate, inspect and care
for motor equipment and are skilled in the performance of labor associated with the maintenance and construction of the
Citys water distribution system. Work in this title is performed outdoors in all types of weather conditions and
incumbents in this class may work weekends, holidays, irregular hours, or nights and will be required to respond to
water system emergencies outside of scheduled work hours. Work is done under the direction of a Senior Maintenance
